“UNEC Graduation Day 2023”

In addition to university management, professors and teachers, graduates and parents, state officials, members of parliament, foreign guests, public representatives took part in the ceremonial ceremony held in Baku Crystal Hall on June 23, 2023.

The National Anthem was played at the event, and the memory of the martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Rector Professor Adalat Muradov, speaking at the opening of the Graduation Day, said that 5525 students graduated from UNEC this year, including 3493 bachelor's degrees and 2032 master's degrees. The rector congratulated the graduates and said that new challenges await them, and expressed his confidence that these bright young people will successfully cope with all challenges.

The Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis, Fazail Ibrahimli, who participated in the Graduation Day, considered the fact that the Graduation Day coincided with the 100th anniversary of the great leader Heydar Aliyev as a significant event. Speaking about the nationwide leader's concern for education and youth, the deputy advised the graduates to become worthy citizens of their country and nation.

Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, said that he was proud to attend the university where he once studied as an Honorary graduate. He shared his fond memories of his student years and urged the graduating youth to be entrepreneurs.

Then 12 students who graduated from UNEC's double degree program with Montpellier University of France were presented with diplomas of that university. Charles Denier, adviser on cooperation and cultural affairs of the Embassy of the French Republic in Azerbaijan, congratulated the graduates and highly appreciated the cooperation between UNEC and French universities.

After the swearing-in ceremony of the graduates, the UNEC flag was handed over to Subhan Alizadeh, a student of the International School of Economics, who graduated from the III course with the highest average (99.26).

After the traditional "papagatma" ceremony, the Graduation Day continued with an entertaining program, giving the graduates unforgettable moments.
